Things are coming along nicely!

First we have a picture of the front flower bed.  Heavily mulched because some of the annuals are getting a little cooked by afternoon sun.  Some flowers are opening on the weigela on the right, it is very pretty.

Now that we've finally had some sun my veggie garden is really starting to get going.  Everything has started to come up but the potatoes.  I may have planted them a little deep, hopefully they still come up.

Here is a close up of one of the lettuce mixtures I planted.  Not quite big enough for the bunnies to eat yet!  My cucumbers aren't really turning out.  I thought I saw some tiny brown bugs on them.  Has anyone had this problem before?  They seem to be killing my seedlings, I've lost 2 and the third doesn't look too good.

Thanks for reading!

  1. Thank you so much for your comment! I don't know if you check back on the comment thread (I rarely do) so will post my response here for you:

Mario was put under when he was neutered 7+ years ago. We did blood work back then prior to putting him under. As far as a chronic weepy eye, so long as we can rule-out dental issues, tumors, or abscesses, I have no issues with letting his eye tear and cleaning it off/treating it as needed. I just don't want it to be anything more serious that requires attention. I will be so happy if it just a narrowed or benign clogged duct. Ack, every 2 months for your 7 year old :( I would be so worried all the time.

Ooh, and bunnies & knitting?! I will be stopping by more often :)
