I set myself the goal of running a marathon before I was 30 several years ago. Since I am turning 29 this year I figured I'd better get cracking!! I'm not sure it will be possible but I'm going to try anyway. I used to run a fair bit, but due to the problems with my asthma last year and a bout of bronchitis in Feb. I am starting from square one. I'm going to chronicle my progress on here hopefully as motivation to keep with it!
Wish me luck!
Hi, Mel! Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. We have similar blogs -- bunnies, running, and I do some knitting here and there.
ReplyDeleteAnyhow, feel free to ask me any questions about running! If you want to do a marathon one day, I say pick a race to shoot for, find a good training plan, and stick with it. Trust me, if I can run marathons, ANYONE can do it, too :)
My main advice for a first one would be to make the goal to cross the finish with a smile. You want to enjoy the day. Marathons are really victory laps for the training and you deserve to have a great day.
